Aanchal

Hi, I’m Aanchal. I’m the founder of Matryoshka Studio as well as a Photographer, Art Director, Actress and Entrepreneur. I’m a city girl – born and raised in the bustling Hong Kong.

I’m not Russian, but I’ve grown to love all things Matryoshka (No, really. I have a collection growing). I think of myself as the big doll, carrying my passion, creativity and individuality. Plus it doesn’t hurt that it’s so cute!

I spend my days both in front of the camera and behind. I love them both because they each allow me to express myself independently. Photography to me is more than just pressing a button at the right moment. It’s about telling a story.

Before I start a project, I learn about your brand, your mission, your audience and everything that has carefully gone into building your business so that I can properly design visuals that represent your hard work.

Social Responsibility:

Growing up as a minority in Hong Kong has presented it’s challenges, and after years of practicing my craft, I’ve decided to dedicate my time off to giving back.

Over the last few years, I’ve worked with NGO’s, schools and global platforms such as TED to advocate for equal opportunities and encourage young minorities to break away from their boundaries.
